Graduate Fellowships in Sustainable Ecological Aquaculture

The Universities of Maine (UM) and New England (UNE) recently launched the Sustainable Ecological Aquaculture Network (SEANET), supported by a major National Science Foundation grant. Graduate students will investigate marine social ecological systems while developing sustainable ecological aquaculture in Maine. SEANET will create a globally recognized research network that advances new knowledge and innovation to strengthen Maine’s coastal social, economic, and environmental communities. 20 Ph.D. and Masters fellowships will be awarded and students will be based at both UM and UNE. Most fellowships will begin Fall 2015. Each fellowship includes a 2-4 year stipend of $20,400/yr, tuition waiver, subsidized health insurance, and research funds.
