Marine Ecology Internship

The Steneck lab is looking for a summer intern interested in lobster biology and marine ecology.  The successful candidate will assist in a study of the American lobster along the coast of Maine.  The project is multifaceted but may involve some mix of scuba diving (for certified scuba divers), small boat operations, data analyses and working with Maine’s Department of Marine Resources to build our lobster biology database.  The research will be based from the Darling Marine Center.

Special preference will be given to students who are certified scuba divers however that qualification is not required for this internship.

The internship includes stipend (amount TBD) and dormitory housing at the DMC.

To apply send a cover letter and resume to Professor Bob Steneck (steneck@maine.edu). Accepting and reviewing applications immediately.
