Brooke Hall Dorms

Brooke Hall is our waterfront dormitory and dining facility. There are sixteen dorm rooms, each of which can accommodate four students maximum. The layout of the dorms vary, but all rooms have two sets of bunk beds, two wardrobes and a desk.

There are full, shared bathrooms down the hall by the rooms, as well as visitor-accessible laundry.

Long term guests, such as Semester by the Sea students and summer interns, are responsible for bringing their own bedding and towels. We supply bedding and towels for short term overnight guests.

There are no cooking facilities in the dorms, and microwaves and hot plates are not allowed in the rooms. One mini-fridge is allowed per room, not per guest. Residents can use the fully equipped kitchen on the upper campus, which also has a screened-in porch for outdoor dining.

The dining and conference facility is located in the same building as the dorms, where Semester by the Sea participates in a meal plan. Due to the small size of the campus, each meal is scheduled for a certain time, and meals are shared among residents. Catering is also offered to visiting groups.
