New approaches to teaching marine science
A novel approach to visualizing marine science and its infrastructure has been published in the Marine Technology Society Journal, authored by Annette deCharon, Leslie Smith, and Carla Companion. ”Characterizing Complex Marine Systems and Technology Using Visualized Vocabularies” describes how a computer sciences-based organizational structure may help undergraduate students explore and understand the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI).
